As school’s reopen after COVID, special attention will need to be paid to how to help students with special education needs, resume progress in their learning. Parents and educators should consider these 3 questions: 1. What progress did the student make on their existing goals during distance learning? 2. What new areas may now be areas of need as a result of the pandemic? 3. What should be included in a meaningful recovery plan to address the progress that was lost during the pandemic?
